7-12 Boys Basketball Parent/Player meeting tonight at the Den from 6:00-8:00. Go Bears!

NHS 10th & 12th Grade Parents/Guardians,
Oklahoma Statute {§70-24-158} requires that all public school districts administer the Oklahoma Prevention Needs Assessment (OPNA) to 6th, 8th, 10th, and 12th graders. The survey is a project of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and has been conducted in Oklahoma since 2004. The OPNA is a robust tool for providing direction to schools, districts, and communities to effectively improve the lives of students across a variety of issues, with a focus on alcohol, tobacco, other drug use, mental health, academic failure, and violence. The OPNA measures problem behaviors and risk and protective factors, which are attitudes, behaviors, and opinions that research has shown to be highly correlated with these health risk behaviors. Please note that parents/guardians can opt their child out of the OPNA. CIMS will give the online OPNA on November 16, 2023. Below are links to the assessments for parental/guardian preview, as well as the online Passive Consent Form. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Dr. Myers, Assistant Superintendent, at 405-872-3452.
