Camp Kramer Way • June 28–30, 2022
Are you a high school sophomore, junior, or senior interested in learning more about the nursing profession? Oklahoma City University’s Kramer School of Nursing invites you to apply for a three-day, two-night summer nursing camp at OCU. Camp Kramer Way offers an experiential, hands-on learning opportunity on the OCU campus. Participants will work directly with counselors and nursing school faculty. Students will stay overnight on June 28th and 29th in OCU housing.
Thanks to a grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma, camp participants attend free of charge! Meals, housing, and off campus activities are included at no additional charge.Take advantage of this opportunity to see if the nursing profession is a good fit for you!
Cost: Free. Up to twenty students will be accepted to participate in the camp.
Eligibility requirements: Camp participants must be 16 years of age by June 28, 2022. The camp is open to students going into their sophomore, junior, or senior year. After a student has been accepted into the summer camp, liability waivers will need to be signed by parents/guardians.
Application Deadline: Friday, May 6, 2022 (application closes at midnight)
Scholarship information: An OCU scholarship will be awarded to one incoming KSN student beginning fall 2023, named for Blue Cross Blue Shield. The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma Nursing Scholarship recipient must have attended the 2022 Camp Kramer Way and be admitted to OCU with a clear intent to study nursing. Preference will be given for students from rural Oklahoma communities. The recipient would receive $2,500 a year for four years.
